Band News:
HEARTMONGER of the Month Meet Nannette Garrett
The First Sisters of Rock and Roll Ann & Nancy Wilson on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11:54am.
I've been a fan of Heart since I was 12 and I'm 46. I started singing along with their albums in my living room. I had been singing in church when I was 4 and I always wanted to be a singer. While trying to sing along with Ann, that helped push my range to be able to hit her incredible notes. I remember Crazy On You as being the song that just blew me away and in my senior yearbook I wrote that it was my favorite song. That one along with Mistral Wind have been my 2 favs for decades. By the time I was 18, I was singing in a band performing Bebe Le Strange,Dog & Butterfly, their versions of Rock and Roll and Unchained Melody. What fun!!!I played in several bands and have always been known as the girl who could sing Heart.

GARRETT has been getting alot of airplay on XPR in Birmingham, England.
The Garrett band has 4 songs in rotation and
'Don't Say It's Over' was #3 on their TOP 20 charts. "We've had alot of fans appear from the UK on youtube, twitter& facebook since
the songs have been on air. We now have 4 other stations there requesting our cd" say Nannette Garrett. Cool, huh?
We're still in pre-production for the new cd. William has been working hard daily getting his tone right and finishing up endings
for songs,etc.....We have a few parties that have expressed interest in working with us in a producers' capacity that we're very
excited about.
We've also had some renewed interest in 'Cookin' Blues' on youtube recently as well. We have a female artist that is recording
'Destiny' in a Patsy Cline version. We look forward to hearing that as she presents it to the record execs she works with.
We are hoping to have a show at the Turnage Theater again this year and we'll be updating you on that as soon as we know.
Garrett Band song is covered by an up and coming Country Artist
Up and coming country music sensation KelC is covering William Garrett's song 'Destiny'. The band is very excited that this great song is being covered by KelC.
We would love for everyone to visit her website. If you want to hear a sample of KelC's version of 'Destiny' follow the link below. It's a short MP3 sample but you can get the idea.

Garrett - Fans of the month:
Glenn Mcdougall is GARRETT's January Fan of the Month
Glenn is a dj and one of the creator's of XRP Radio in Birmingham, England.
Glenn's favorite track by GARRETT is 'Hard Lovin' Woman'. "It was the first track sent to XRP and it instantly reminded me of ZZ Top.
I'm just a geek with a computer who set up a radio station with my mate, Tom.There are loads of blurbs about XRP on our page http://www.facebook.com/XRPRadio. Looking forward to hearing some new tunes from Garrett!! CHEERS!"
Reno Paganelli in Las Vegas is GARRETT's February Fan of the Month
My two favorite GARRETT tunes are Hard Lovin` Woman and No Surrender...I`m just an old hippie biker that digs old classic rock in which GARRETT reminds me a lot of..
Originally from the Chicagoland area..NW Indiana to be precise, I now live in Las Vegas...I`ve been playing the drums since I was about 12 and opened for a few national acts in the late 70's,early 80's..also love photography and cooking among many other things...Thanks for considering me for fan of the month for February 2011.
Lucy Vaughn in Europe is GARRETT's March Fan of the Month
Lucy Vaughn has been a Garrett fan for some time now.
She got in touch with their music through Nannette, "since we are both hugs
Heart fans as well" say Lucy. "I was very impressed from the beginning. Nannette
and William are both great singers and impressive musicians." Nannette plays
a mean bass while William can really wail on that guitar, awesome!
Lucy does
all she can to support and promote the band. "I hope they make it across the
ocean someday to Europe so I can see them in concert." Garrett rawks,
I’m also a fan of William’s solo work and Nannettes former band Snakes-n-Angels.
